Ira N. Dickerman has been named the recipient of the John T. Griffin Technician of the Year Award, given to a dental technician for exceptional work in the field. A Middlesex Community College graduate, Mr. Dickerman has worked as a trainer for several of the largest dental implant companies and also acts as a dental consultant.

When Myron Dickerman, CDT, opened Dickerman Dental Prosthetics in Sharon, Mass., in 1965, he couldn’t have imagined the trajectory the business and the industry would take. His son Ira was involved since he was 13, doing models and dies in high school as a way to bring in some extra income. Ira decided after high school that he wanted to pursue dental technology as a career.
